I really enjoyed this short film made by two friends, director, Christian Svanes Kolding and photographer, Birgit Richter. CSK's film goes behind the scenes to give life to B's portraits of Los Angeles-based housecleaners. They both uncover the somewhat lonely occupation of others. I hope you enjoy the film too!

Today was a good day for mail. We received a handwritten letter from our friend and NYC-based artist, Ryan McGinness inviting us to visit his studio in 2009/2010+ for "50 Parties. 50 Themes. 50 Weeks. In a Row in the Studio. No Sponsors. No Strangers". Included with the note was an additional welcome letter with website login instructions and a list of the first 29 parties' themes.
They were always filled with creatives and interesting doers. Ryan created the 50PARTIES project in response to this void: "to bring back the artist's studio space as an environment for social exchange and revitalize the practice of the artist's studio as salon." I'm looking forward to picking up my Guest Card and joining the fun!

So not only is Japan the land of Maru, my all time favorite YouTube animal superstar, but now its got dogs exercising with their "owners". American pets, you gotta step it up a little!
Our handsome boy modeling cat, Godzuki, made his acting debut courtesy of Cat Workout, the Tai Bo of animal kingdom exercising! Thanks to Tara and Sean for giving our four-legged roommate his lucky break... this might be what we need for Disney to pay attention so we can retire and become animal stage moms.

Ross Bleckner, who was appointed the first visual artist as Goodwill Ambassador to Uganda by the United Nations is their inaugural guest interview. Good luck watching this video without falling into a trance. Ross' manner is so calming!
