We were privileged to be invited to the VIP/Media reception for Manifest Equality -- a showcase of hundreds of artists championing full and equal rights for all Americans. It was a wonderful evening with many of our favorite people in arts and media present to show their support.
Catch this inspirational show while you can! Manifest Equality is open to the public, Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010 through Sunday, March 7th, 2010 between the hours of 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM with extended hours Friday - Sunday.
We at i am 8-bit Productions are quite the fans of Mr. Conan O'Brien, and for the past week, in alliance with our good friend, LA-based artist Mike Mitchell, creator of the inspiring "I'm with Coco" image (pictured above), have been spreading the word about the creative injustice currently underway in the late night sector.
We're also leveraging this PR bonanza to actually do some good in the world, given the recent tragedy in Haiti. We've already raised over $2,000 for PlantingPeace.org, and we're working with the Red Cross for Monday's rallies (see below).
So here's the deal:
With the support of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien staff -- and even the legendary redhead himself -- we're orchestrating several rallies across the U.S., with the primary one being in Los Angeles, right in front of Mr. O'Brien's studio:
Monday, Jan. 18, 2009 12pm to 4pm (RAIN or SHINE)
Sidewalk in front of Gate 2 Universal Studios lot 100 Universal Plaza Dr. (off of Lankershim) Universal City, CA 91608
I am thankful you come here every day and pay this little piece of the internets some attention. Thanks for the kind words -- they really keep me going.
I am thankful for my good health and fortune and mostly for my amazing family and friends. Thanks to Silvio who reminds me that we live a fulfilling and fortunate life and thanks to our newborn Lulu for showing us what love can be.
My husband, Silvio has the great distinction of having worked on one of the top ten best video games in history (ranked by many different news outlets, game polls, etc.), Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. He also has worked on a game voted one of the top ten worst in history, Fight For Life (I believe it was IGN that gave them this distinction). Can't say he does anything mediocre. Now another game he's worked on has made a top ten list! Huffington Post has named Squash the $treet #5 on their list of "10 Inappropriate iPhone Apps"!
Financial Crisis? Let your rage rain down on the crooks and swindlers who caused it.
Watch the shady bankers, creepy fraudsters and corrupt CEOs flee their gilded offices, sprinting for the nearest escape vehicle. Squash and flick the snarky scoundrels up and down the streets and sidewalks in the festering heart of the city where all the thievery and greed began.
Team CB hosted their 5th Annual Oscar Party with a couple dozen of their closest friends. Not too many tears were shed this year although it was agreed upon that the James Franco/Seth Rogen comedy bitwas the highlight of the night. Oh... that and watching Sophia Loren want to maul the other women on stage. Glen won the Oscar pool inching ahead by voting for his boys. Thanks T and B for hosting another fulfilling Oscar night!
What to do on Valentine's day other than pass a lot of red and pink stuff around? Why, brunch with your loved ones. As seen on the westside: Silvio, Theresa, Graeme, Simone, and Bod... basking in beautiful Venice winter weather.
