Opening Reception for “Walking through Walls”
Finally after 6 years, Gary Baseman returns to New York City for a solo exhibition of new artwork at Jonathan LeVine Gallery. Through paintings and mixed media works, Baseman delves into dark and solemn subjects, discovering more about the influences of childhood and family. You can check out this new series of playful-gritty-somber-sweet work through April 2nd.

After the official gallery opening, follow Baseman from Chelsea to the Lower East Side to hear more of Nightmare and the Cat (band plays at 10:15pm) at Lit Lounge. Guests who come to the gallery opening can get in for free. Others pay $6 at the door.
