About Mini Lai
During college at the University of California, Irvine, Mini was diagnosed with congenital heart disease, which ultimately required her to receive a heart transplant. Despite her debilitating illness, she pursued her dream of becoming an illustrator, graduating from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena (ACCD) and launching her career.
While she was at ACCD, Mini received generous scholarships. The fund exists to give back to these donors and continue their spirit of charitable giving.
About the Mini Lai Scholarship Fund
The Mini Lai Scholarship Fund is made possible by the generous donations of Mini’s family and friends. It is managed by the respected California Community Foundation and awarded by the prestigious ACCD Illustration Department. Every year, the fund grants a $1,500 scholarship to a deserving ACCD illustration student. Learn more about the Mini Lai Scholarship Fund at: http://minilai.com/.
