Giant Robot is proud to host Men at Work, a group art show featuring new work by Robert Bellm, Matt Furie, Jay Howell, Ben King, Aaron Martinez, Sidney Pink, and Albert Reyes.
Robert Bellm paints vibrant images from nature, calling the eye-pleasing mix of natural shapes with manmade forms "organic technology."
Matt Furie creates richly detailed and hyper colored illustrations and paintings that reflect the creative cross breeding of The Neverending Story, unrestrained imagination of The Muppet Show, and humor of ALF.
Jay Howell creates a strange yet beautiful world where limbs lack joints, all colors are neon, and every shape is elongated and wavering.
Ben King is a young, upstart artist from the Bay Area whose illustrations reflect a unique perspective on mainstream celebrity and videogame culture, among other topics.
Aaron Martinez is a Los Angeles based artist, who creates somber yet thoughtful monochromatic images, and is currently designing for Element Skateboards.
Sidney Pink is a Japan-based illustrator who was nominated for the 2008 GEISAI Museum 2 Jury Awards.
Albert Reyes is a prolific artist from Los Angeles whose style reflects the grittiness of the streets fused with the refinement of classical portraiture.
A reception featuring many of the artists will be held from 6:30 to 10:00 on Saturday, November 14.
