Monika Sprüth and Philomene Magers are delighted to present a new installation by Thea Djordjadze in Berlin. Standing at the center of the exhibition is a wooden construction, a space which may be viewed and entered, a house or the fragment of a house. A site where the ordered delineations between living and working, between private and public have been canceled.

LACE (Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions) is proud to present two upcoming Salon Series Events as a part of United Fruit, the first solo show by the artists collective Fallen Fruit (David Burns, Matias Viegener and Austin Young) currently on view at LACE through 27 September 2009.
Sunday 20 September 2009, noon: Fallen Fruit Banana Meditation & Artists Talk
Fallen Fruit members David Burns, Matias Viegener and Austin Young discuss the research behind United Fruit along with their ongoing project The Colonial History of Fruit. The collective talk about the focus of their work with the local and the way this initiative combines the particular history with the global reality of fruit. The salon will begin at noon with a guided meditation leading participants through a range of concepts related to the banana, followed by a discussion led by the artists at 1pm.
