Found cordially invites you to A&K's exhibition 'Not Particularly Tall,' opening this Saturday, May 3 from 6-9pm. The opening is, of course, open to the public and will feature several surprises.
A&K are two exciting young artists who met in South Africa, although both are permanent [at least for now] L.A. denizens. As both A and K are equally quite short young women, they have decided to dedicate their first formal showing together to their lack of tallness. However, their new work combines all sorts of materials into a colorful, craft-inspired rumination on the institution of holidays, where repetition is a key tenant in defining ritual. Further, the blurry line of art and craft evokes domestic imagery, further underscoring A&K’s vision of art as a daily, integral part of life.
