Michael Peyser produced one of my all time favorite comedies, 'Ruthless People'. That film absolutely cracked me up when I was a kid. I remember seeing it multiple times and each time laughing so hard at the end. The movie also marked the first time I saw the Santa Monica Pier. Little did I know that two decades later, I'd be passing it on a regular basis.
Michael asked Mike and I to guest lecture his USC film class. It was super awesome and weird. Students remained quiet for the most part while some peered from behind their laptops as we discussed new media digital distribution models and how to pitch video game concepts. In a plugged in, avatar-heavy world, I wonder what being a student today really is like? Nevertheless, I had fun. Teaching is infectious!
