Ozzfest was created in 1996 and that year, I worked for Slayer. I watched this show back stage for what was then, a two day festival with one day in San Bernardino and the other in Phoenix. It was the first time I had seen a crowd of epic proportions looking back my way from behind the curtains. It was beyond memorable and made me understand why these men, were guitar heroes and metal gods to so many. Those were the days!
