At the Championship Gaming Series' inaugural draft, Kat Hunter, San Francisco OPTX's GM and veteran gamer chose Vanessa Arteaga as the first draft pick of the history of the series. In a world dominated by male players, the move was bold and befitting considering the event was held at the Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills. Will an audience form for spectator video game playing? Only time will tell.
Between picking players, as a side attraction and distraction, the famed bunnies provided photo ops and gave tours of the grounds. I am glad to have seen the infamous grotto in person. One more thing scratched off the "to do" list. Now, to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro!
