HAMMER Readings: Charles Baxter

Charles Baxter’s novel The South Thief will be published by Pantheon in early 2008. He has received the Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the Prix St. Valentine in France, and the Catalan Booksellers’ Association Award for book of the year in Spain. Baxter’s work has appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and Harper’s, and his fiction has been widely anthologized and translated into ten languages.
The Hammer Museum presents ongoing reading series featuring today's most talented and provocative authors. All readings are free of charge, and are followed by book signings at the Hammer Bookstore. Admission is free and on a first come, first served basis. Priority seating for Hammer Members.
