Our friends Pierre and Caroline got married a week after we did. And so, every year (in LA) we try to squeeze in a meal together between our two anniversaries. This year, we grubbed on Pan-Asian dishes at Typhoon. Located at the Santa Monica Airport, it's a great place to kick it and people watch.

Dudes. Getting your wi fi, Xbox 360, iTunes and others to connect and play together is not as simple as you’d think. Sure Justin was able to hook it all up at home in a snap. But for some reason, things were not so peachy here.

I’ve got like the most ridiculous I.T. support in the world. So without hesitation I asked Justin to come back joined by Ben and Julian. And in less than an hour, everything was good to go!

Having this task crossed off my things-to-do list made bailing on a couple of events totally worth it. Thanks fellas!

We’d like to invite you to a live radio recording, poetry reading & conversation this coming Sunday June 25 at 2 p.m. at Betalevel in Chinatown. Will Alexander will be the featured writer on LA-lit, a radio show co-curated by Mathew Timmons & Stephanie Rioux. The show (& hence the recording) lasts a little over an hour and will be about 30 minutes of reading & about 30 minutes of questions & answers/further questions – alternating between the two modes in hopes of creating a space for dynamic conversation.

Will Alexander is a poet and visual artist. Working from Los Angeles, he has updated the alchemy of surrealist vision (found in such poets as Aimé Césaire and Raymond Roussel) to write his own cosmic parables, in his own electric incandescent language. His poetic works include Exobiology as Goddess, Asia & Haiti, Above the Human Nerve Domain, Towards the Primeval Lightning Field, and The Stratospheric Canticles. He has two works forthcoming: a novella, Alien Weaving, from Green Integer; and a book of poems, Sri Lankan Loxodrome, from Canopic Press. His most recent book, a trilogy of novels, Sunrise and Armageddon, is out from from Spuyten Duyvil. The International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England named Will Outstanding Scholar of the 20th Century and he was also recognized by the Whiting Foundation for exceptional literary achievement in New York. In 2002 Will received a fellowship for poetry from the California Arts Council.
