An expressive and masterful painter, Peter Paul Rubens was also a savvy businessman who promoted his fame by making prints of his most successful paintings. In this free lecture by art historian Michiel Plomp, "From Drawings and Oil into Print: Rubens' Retouched Drawings and Oil Sketches Preparatory for Prints," learn how Rubens collaborated with a small army of artists to rework his complex compositions into prints.
The lecture complements Rubens and His Printmakers, which opens July 5.
