Choosing works of art that represent the wild diversity of Bay Area art would require more than any single gallery show could hope to offer. Keeping this in mind the artists presented work in different media and in
no single trajectory but share a profound commitment to their individual aesthetic.
Bay Area social infrastructures lend themselves to forms of cultural concentration that do not encourage insulation. Such networks of relationships influence multifaceted works that run the gamut from back-yard dioramas to technology-driven appropriations, and not to forget eastern-flavored metaphors.
Neo-Plural welcomes the greater L.A. metropolitan area to sample some of the diversity of contemporary Bay Area art.
