This fundraiser was organized by LA Arts for Katrina, a group of concerned visual artists residing in Los Angeles. All of the proceeds from the auction will go directly to The Vanguard Public Foundation's special People's Hurricane Relief Fund, Alternate Roots (a southern regional arts organization that creates workshops in shelters for children and adults) , and Operation Home Delivery, the centerpiece of Habitat for Humanity, pre-building frames for new homes that will be shipped to needy families in New Orleans and other affected communities.
This is a rare opportunity for both seasoned and beginning collectors to choose from a wide variety of exceptional works of contemporary art. More than 70 artists have donated paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures, including Kim Abeles, Lisa Adams, Joe Biel, Miles Coolidge, Femi Dawkins, Alex Donis, Carol Es, Todd Gray, Steve Irvin, Mery Lynn McCorkle, Stas Orlovsky, MJP, and many more!
Opening bid for each piece in the silent auction is $99!
Wonderful food, drink and music will be provided. Valet parking available. Dress warm!
