Cambridge, MA October 4, 2005- EMF Electric Supply, an 80-year-old Cambridge business, still operated by the same family, is reopening its showroom on the lower level of their Brookline Street building. To
commemorate this occasion, EMF is proud to announce the creation of Installations @ EMF a new space devoted to promoting progressive artists and their work. Installations @ EMF takes advantage of the building's peculiar design, which features a window display area seven feet deep, seven feet tall, and thirty feet long - all of which is visible from the Brookline Street sidewalk at all hours of the day. Cambridge native Caleb Neelon, aka 'Sonik' will inaugurate the space, which will be open to the public beginning on October 21.

Exhibiting artist Jeff Wolin and Vietnam Veteran and author Larry Heinemann will discuss the impact of the Vietnam War on the lives of US Veterans as evidenced in the images and text on view. Following the discussion, Heinemann will sign copies of his recently released memoir Black Virgin Mountain: A Return to Vietnam.

This event is presented in collaboration with the Office of the Provost and the English Department of Columbia College Chicago.

Jordan Crane's refined illustrative style is the result of a mastery of craft reflecting a keen appreciation of comics, Japanese prints and punk rock. The creator of several acclaimed comics including the award winning anthology NON, he's noted for his well observed, thoroughly modern narratives that focus on the vulnerability and mystery of the human experience. For his first solo show at Junc he will present a spectacular new collection of screen prints as well as the corresponding original drawings.

This is Crane's most sophisticated work to date and is going to be an amazing show. You can preview much of the work on the website. Hope and to see you there!
