i am youthful enough to put my entire life savings into a start up and risk losing a lot financially. we’re currently closing the friends and family round of fundraising at our company. soliciting for money used to be ridiculously hard. but now, if given the chance, i will ask someone for a lot of cash if i know they have some to spare. half joking, all serious, i'll casually say, "do you have a million dollars?" usually, the moneymaker will give me a hearty laugh. sometimes…the savvy investor will say, “for what?” and then i do my one minute song and dance number. it is amazing how one million means everything and nothing depending on who you are. i just found out i’ve been doing it all wrong. why didn’t i think of this first?
