anyone who is watching average joe 2: hawaii is sad. let's not comment on our personal lives, but for a moment be sad that the nicest reality show contestant has just been excused from the airwaves. axed from yesterday's episode i found that i really cared about david daskal.
it's easy for david to catch your attention. he rocks comedian carrot top's fro (but brunette), wears heavy plastic framed glasses (pretty styley for david), is skinner than shandi from america's next top model 2 and has a dopey infectious laugh. he is a 24 year old mail sorter who probably didn't get laid in high school or college! but he is the kid with the biggest heart. david's in hawaii trying to nail a hottie and in the meantime, make friends and have some good clean fun. he's there to be carefree and goofy. even when challenged by the hunks he wants to play nice nice. and for the most part, when it comes to david, so does everybody else. our six-pack bros chill on the daskal and the nerd herd tolerate his harebrained antics.
when asked what he would change about himself if given the opportunity, david says it best in his tv bio, "nothing, i love who i am. you couldn't offer me anything to change anything." word.
oh and hey sappy people, y'all got punked! bad. real bad. how bad? you're not going to believe it bad. psst. the dude is an actor! and on his acting resume, he even lists watermelon tossing as one of his skills (something he did in the first episode). when he was acting all wacky that's exactly all he was doing...acting! serves you right for caring about some hapless punk on a tv show. oh, i'm not above you all, they suckered me too. girl geek shandi sullivan from america's next top model better be the real thing or i'm going postal!
UPDATE: david's roommate, lon, was kind enough to clear up some issues we had commented on. we felt gyped when we found out that david was an "actor". thanks lon for the update!
Although David has acted (poorly at times I may add) He was in no way acting on Average Joe. What you saw was the real deal. He was not out to fool or dupe anyone. He is a genuine and sincere person who isn't afraid to show who he is . We both are both extremely comfortable with our "self". The only thing he had done professionally before Average Joe aired was appear in a commercial for a cell phone company in Spain. That was also done after he was cast on Average Joe. David actually almost didn't get to be on the show because the producers thought he was acting with them during the interview process. He seemed too good to be true. It was only after they realized he was being genuine that they included him in the show. How David was on the show he is like on a 24/7 basis. Sure he is more mellow at times. He's never jumped on my couch because he knows I'd kill him if he did but we always manage to get ourselves in some sort of trouble. The "watermelon tossing" reference on his resume was added after the show was aired and was only placed there playfully. I can't blame you for the viewpoint you have, after all, we only know what we're fed through the media. Sometimes the truth takes a little more work to uncover than what is handed to you on a plate (or through your television).
